Body Beautiful Update
This is the time of year to reflect on wonderful experiences of the past year and plan for the future. Body Beautiful has grown so much in 2005 and we want to personally thank each and every one of you who have supported the Body Beautiful team. The focus of next year will be on growing the Body Beautiful image stylist network so people around the country, and globe, can experience what Body Beautiful has to offer.

Style for Men

How to Wear the Latest Trends
There's a way to wear even the most baffling fashion trend if you know how.

1. Black - It is true that black is slimming, but after seasons of so much color and pattern, it can seem stark. The trick to wearing black now is to wear it head-to-toe. Don't punch it up with color or metallics; instead, wear black-on-black sequined or embroidered tops, skirts and dresses. Pair them with black shoes, black hose, even layered jet beads (a very hip look). Keep it interesting by wearing black with lots of texture and detail (ruching, ruffles, tucks, embellishment). Don't be afraid to mix up fabric: velvet, satin, cord, denim, etc. If black isn’t your best color, be sure to have lots of skin showing around your face and neck. Don’t forget to smooth out all skin blotches with a good foundation.

2. Jeans - It almost seems unfair that the hottest trend in years - expensive, upscale jeans from the likes of Paige Premium Denim, Seven, Rock and Republic, etc. - doesn't come in sizes larger than a 12. Fortunately, many manufacturers are getting in on the designer jean craze and brands like Lane Bryant (Buy Direct) and Liz Claiborne - (Buy Direct) are producing their own upscale jeans in larger sizes.

3. Romantically Inclined - Soft, sheer blouses in white, black or prints are the top of the season. With bits of lace, velvet, ribbon trims or even puffy sleeves, these romantic tops are the perfect layer under fitted velvet jackets.
- Retailers are calling this trend "Baroque" or "Renaissance."

4. Boots - Tall, to-the-knee boots are the best footwear option for everything from full skirts to gauchos. A flat silhouette in tall boots is new, as is the wedge heel. Lace-up styles, ruched looks and croc embossing are great alternatives to basic leather boots. If you can’t find a tall boot to fit your strong curvaceous calves, wear short boots with fur trim peaking out of the top.

5. Big Bags - From oversized hobo bags to large structured styles, the bold bag is this season's must-have. While luggage-sized satchels are around, the most manageable sizes are slightly oversized. If you are small boned – make sure your oversized satchel has small scale straps and clasps. - adapted from fashion.about.com
